An Oregon man Shane Finnell is accused of fatally shooting his sister-in-law Alexandra Arb-Bloodgood when an affidavit said it was a “laundry dispute”.

Officials responded to reports of a shooting in a house in the Portsmouth borough shortly after 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning, according to a statement from Portland Police Department.

The police arrived to find the body of Alexandra Arb-Bloodgood, 29. 25-year-old Shane Finnell, her brother-in-law, was arrested at the scene.
The statement says Finnell remains in custody and has been charged with second degree murder and the illegal use of a weapon.
According to an affidavit received from PEOPLE, Finnell allegedly told police “I did something terrible” shortly after he was arrested.
Finnell’s brother and the victim’s husband, Jordan Arb, told investigators that he and his brother had an argument over laundry.
According to an affidavit, Finnell threw a potted plant at Jordan Arb during the dispute.
Arb told police his wife was sitting in a chair on the back patio and was turning away from Finnell.
Arb claimed his brother went over to his wife and “shot her in the back of the head with a revolver at close range,” the affidavit read.
Finnell has not yet brought the charges against him.
Information about his lawyer was not available.
Arb could not be reached for comment on Tuesday.
