Ayoola Ajayi Crime History & Confession

The Utah man who killed Mackenzie Lueck, a University of Utah student and aspiring nurse, apologized for the casual and brutal act when he was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Ayoola Ajayi, a 32-year-old technical support worker, confessed earlier this month to killing 23-year-old Lueck in June 2019 after meeting her through a “Sugar Daddy” dating site. She pleaded guilty on October 7 to aggravating the murder and desecration of a human body. As part of a plea that allowed him to evade the death penalty.

“I’m sorry for what I did,” Ajayi said, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. “I know that won’t bring you back.”

What Marc Mathis said?

Salt Lake County Assistant District Attorney Marc Mathis told KSL prior to the verdict that Ajayi had no clear motive for Lück’s murder. The killer admitted that he planned to kill her after seeing her on the dating site, but before meeting her in person.

“The only conclusion that the evidence can suggest is that Ayoola Ajayi just wanted to know what it’s like to kill someone,” Mathis said Friday.

“Tragically, he chose her for Mackenzie Lueck and her family. It was murder in itself. “”

What Mackenzie Lueck Profession Was?

Mackenzie Lueck, a student at the University of Utah.

Lueck had just gotten off a plane in California, where she had just attended her grandmother’s funeral, when she drove a Lyft to a nearby park late at night on June 17, 2019 to meet Ajayi.

From there they went to Ajayi’s home in Salt Lake City, where she killed them and buried them in her garden, Ajayi’s attorney, Neal Hamilton, said. He moved his remains to Logan Canyon, more than 80 miles north of Salt Lake City, after authorities questioned him about the case.

Authorities found Lueck’s body buried in a shallow grave in July 2019.
