Filming took place in June 2019 at a food market in Wellston. Meeks admitted in his testimony to trying to cash a check for nearly $6,800 that did not belong to him. He said he didn’t know someone had contacted the police and that Langsdorf was there and would arrest him. Langsdorf worked for the North County Police Cooperative.
Meeks said he shot Langsdorf as he was “trying to protect me”.
Meeks will be sentenced in September.
