Gonzalez, who is identified as an ordinary man in court documents in several videos, was arrested by the FBI in a Virginia Beach apartment, authorities said.
According to a criminal complaint, González is seen on camera lighting a joint and shouting: “Time to smoke marijuana here” while he was in the Capitol rotunda during the January 6 uprising.
In another video, titled “Capitol Smoker Rotunda Doobie Explains Why He Did It”, Gonzalez was asked why he smoked marijuana on Capitol Hill, to which he partially replied, “Freedom,” one of the complaint reads.
