Edward Mayton Biography Edward Mayton Wiki
U-S postal worker Edward Mayton went out of his way to help an Alaskan bride-to-be, who wasn’t aware of an issue with her wedding invitations.
Crystle Lewis and her fiance sent out their wedding invitations earlier this month, wondering why they weren’t getting RSVP.
His envelopes turned out to require additional postage due to a wax seal, but Lewis didn’t know.
When an employee at the local post office noticed that the stack of envelopes had not been shipped, he decided to purchase the additional postage. That night he worked with his staff to send out the wedding invitations.
The Alaskan bride-to-be says she is grateful to the US Post Clerk who did everything to save her big day.
“He was kind enough to pay for the extra postage, put it there and post it so we could have people at our wedding,” she said.
The couple attempted to reimburse the worker for the additional shipping costs, but he refused, saying they were happy to help.
“I couldn’t help but drown, it was so unexpected,” Lewis said. I was not expecting it at all. It was great. ”
U.S. Postal worker
Edward Mayton, the postal clerk, said he hadn’t even thought twice.
“This is exactly what we are doing, not just why we should be doing it,” Mayton said. “I mean, this is the valley; this is Wasilla. We’ll take care of each other here.”
