Eric Reynolds Rowan, 26, pleaded guilty to “fabricating a destructive device”. Rowan admitted creating an explosive bomb in Upshur County between August and November 2019.

Rowan faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $ 10,000. Under federal sentencing guidelines, the actual sentence imposed depends on the seriousness of the offense and, if applicable, the defendant’s criminal record.
US Assistant Attorney Christopher L. Bauer is pursuing the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the FBI have launched an investigation.
The US magistrate Michael John Aloi presided.
