Officer Erica McAdoo lost her battle with the coronavirus
In a statement, Los Angeles Police said detention officer Erica McAdoo lost her battle with the coronavirus on Friday.
“It is extremely sad that the Los Angeles Police Department is reporting the tragic death of Senior Detention Officer Erica McAdoo, due to complications from COVID-19,” the statement read. “She lost her courageous battle with the coronavirus last night. She leaves her loving family.
287 employees in the department are currently at home
The LAPD also said that 287 employees in the department are currently at home after being exposed or testing positive for the coronavirus.
