Court documents say the fight broke out over the shoulder of Route 17 after the words were exchanged outside the strip club.
Guberovic was “finally hit several times, tripped and ended up undercover in the fast lane,” said the documents.
The five men then got into a 2006 Jeep Cherokee and took off, leaving the Fair Lawn on Highway 17 South.
Moments later, according to documentation, Guberovic was hit by a 2020 BWM M8.
The driver, whose name was not made public, had been drinking and driving too fast, sources told the Daily Voice.
Three of the men, Kevin Agudelo and Christian Reyes, both 22, and Julio Peña, 23, were arrested Saturday in Ridgefield, New Jersey, on charges of murder and the risk of an injured victim.
The three were held in Bergen County Prison awaiting their first court appearance.
The other two men, Ardian Hoti, 23 and Fero Hoti, 24, were arrested in West Hempstead, according to the authorities.
The two brothers were arrested in Nassau County until they were extradited.
We didn’t know what led to the fight.
