Charges Against ”Garvey Gayle”

Garvey Gayle, 21, is charged with the murder of his father Michael Gayle and the assassination of his mother Amanda Brookes in St. Mellons, Cardiff.

A son accused of killing his father and killing his mother appeared in the crown court.

The accused appeared in Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday in a brief preliminary hearing in which District Attorney Michael Jones told QC that he was “accused of killing and attempting to assassinate his parents”.

Asked if it was Garvey Gayle, the defendant replied, “No, Jesus Christ.”

Garvey of Cypress Crescent, St. Mellons, faces numerous murders and assassination attempts.

Judge Michael Fitton QC informed the defendant that his trial will begin on May 17, 2021.

Garvey Gayle, who showed up without a legal representative, was sent to a new hearing on Thursday 29 October.

Michael Gayle, 54, was described as “a kind and loving man who adored his longtime partner, Amanda, and their four children.”

The tribute reads: “He was a glorious grandfather with the kindest hearts and whose smile always lit up the room.

“Michael had a private life with his family all the time.

“Michael’s lifestyle was not related to death, he believed that life was eternal. Even though we let him rest early, it was important for him to know that he is still there and that his soul is still alive. We get peace from it. .

“He has spent his life loving, guiding and protecting us.

“We want to thank everyone for their warm messages during this difficult time and appreciate their support.”
