Indiana woman Holly McNally who gave birth a few days earlier said her instincts came when she pulled over on a highway to rescue a burning driver after her jet fuel tanker caught fire.

McNally, who has three other children aged 8, 11 and 15, said that despite the risk she faced, she knew she needed help.
“I think the mother and the gut are feeling. If it was my child, my husband or a family member, I would like someone to introduce themselves if they can” , she told The Indianapolis Star.

Holly McNally had just left intensive neon hospital service with her mother Thursday afternoon after checking on her son Connor, who was born on Monday. They saw the truck overturned and the flames along an Interstate 465 bridge that crosses Interstate 70 on the far east side of Indianapolis.

McNally said she slowed down and was amazed to see the 59-year-old driver on fire after he managed to get out of the truck alone.
“People record videos and watch, but nobody has been there. So I said to my mom, “I’m going to stop, I’m going over there,” McNally told WXIN-TV.
How Holly McNally Brought Blanket to Put out Flames
McNally ran to the driver and crossed paths with another man who brought a blanket to put out the flames and cover the driver whose clothes had burned. When they removed him from the fire, an explosion rocked the overturned truck, which the driver said was loaded with 15,142 liters of jet fuel.
