The family of a teenager stabbed to death in Luton say they are “extremely saddened and heartbroken” by the tragedy.
Humza Hussain, described by those close to him as his “favorite son”, was killed in a knife attack on Stoneygate Road on Tuesday.
The 16-year-old was rushed to hospital with injuries but was pronounced dead shortly after 6 p.m. Shortly after the incident, police arrested two teenagers.

A boy was arrested for murder but is currently hospitalized with serious but not life threatening injuries.
A second child arrested on suspicion of violent unrest has been released on bail.
In a statement, his family said: “We are extremely saddened and saddened by Humza’s death. He was a child with his whole life ahead of him, and it never should have happened.
“He was a beloved son, grandson and brother and it is a very sad loss for us as a family.
“We ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time.”
Inspector Iain Macpherson of the Serious Crime Investigator in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire said: “Our hearts are with the Humza family at this incredibly difficult time.
“We are determined to bring those responsible for this terrible attack to justice.
“We are very interested in anyone with information about this terrible incident.

Witnesses can report the information to police on 101 or through the online reporting center on the Bedfordshire Police website, reporting Operation Alstroemeria.
