Investigators arrested a man on Monday on suspicion of causing an explosion that destroyed a motorhome in northeast Portland, police said.
Jake Swingle, 26, was arrested Monday on charges of arson, manufacturing a destructive device, possessing a destructive device and illegally using a weapon, The Oregonian / OregonLive reported.

Portland Fire & Rescue was dispatched to the scene around 8:41 am Saturday for reports of a burning trailer. Firefighters found smoke in the RV but no flame.
The initial investigation revealed that there had been an explosion outside the camper van and that it was an “explosive device”. Police did not say what type of device, but said no one was injured.
Investigators issued search warrants in northeast Portland and Vancouver on Monday and Swingle was arrested, police said.
Police did not say if any of the locations were Swingle’s residence, whether the explosion was intentional, or what type of destructive device he was supposed to use.
Swingle was arrested in Multnomah County Jail. It was not immediately clear whether he had a lawyer.
