Jason Alan McDermitt took to Facebook
On November 1, Jason Alan McDermitt took to Facebook to express his grief and affection for Morgan Fox, a mother and co-worker whose boyfriend shot her in the driveway four days earlier at home in Ohio.
“I wish I had time to list all the ways you have affected my life, but the list would be so long that we would never end. You were the friend I knew I could always come and talk to you when I was having a bad day, ”wrote McDermitt.
The long post continued, “It’s so strange that you don’t have to speak and it has left a big hole in my heart, but I know that you will always take care of us, your family, your friends and your daughter . They have had a lasting impact on our entire lives and will never be forgotten, ”reports The Repository of Canton.

McDermitt directed the message to “Foxy” and added the hashtag #JusticeforMorganAshlye.
He was arrested by Stark County MPs three days later for his alleged murder.
The Facebook post upset Fox’s half-sister Megan Barrett, who described her author as “a really sick person, someone who is really upset and loves seeing people in pain,” News 5 Cleveland reports.
Barrett said photos on McDermitt’s Facebook page showing flowers and candles outside Fox’s house made them wonder if he had attended a vigil there two days after the death of Fox.
She informed the point of sale that she was unaware of any other relationship than the work between the two of them, both of whom worked at FedEx, where Fox, 29, was the director of operations.
“We continue to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of our team member Morgan Fox,” said a company statement that also confirmed McDermitt’s appointment. “Following this tragic event, FedEx Ground has been working fully with law enforcement throughout the investigation.”
The Stark County sheriff’s office said Fox was shot dead in the early hours of October 28 when she got into her vehicle in the driveway of her home in North Canton. Her boyfriend discovered her body when she returned from work around 6:30 a.m. and called 911. She was pronounced dead at the scene, WOIO reports.
The authorities have not released any further details.
“Morgan had a generous soul and was very generous. She had a love for animals, her family and her daughter Emilia was her life, she will be sadly missed by everyone,” wrote her family of Fox in an obituary describing her as one of 13 siblings.
“What interested him most in the world was his daughter, and they did it all together,” said Barrett. “She did everything for her.
“I don’t want people to forget,” she told News 5 Cleveland. “I want people to remember her because she was a good person.”
McDermitt is being held in Stark County Jail on $ 2 million bail for serious murder, PEOPLE confirms. A lawyer who could speak on his behalf was not immediately identified and it was not clear if he had had the opportunity to plead.
