His family members say he went to spend the night nearby, ended up in the Bronx and later died.

As CBS reports, the family has so many unanswered questions that they wonder how their happy granddaughter’s life was disrupted.

“I just need to know what happened. If you have done anything, please let us know. I just have to know, ”said Grandma Andina Plunkett.

Plunkett wiped away tears, heartbroken over the sudden death of her 3-year-old niece Jaylynn Evans.

“She was not a sick girl. Very healthy. We just went to the clinic for a checkup,” Plunkett said.

Relatives say Jaylynn Evans lived with them and her mother in eastern New York. Family members thought she was staying around the corner with her friend and her 4-year-old mother, but she eventually ended up in the Bronx in Mott Haven, this girl’s grandmother.

“Did your daughter know this man was using her?” Grymes asked.

“I have no idea. She’s so hysterical she can’t even speak,” Plunkett said.

Anthony Richardson Statements

According to law enforcement sources, Anthony Richardson, 59, told police he was looking at the two girls and found Jaylynn passed out.

Apparently, he did not call 911, but instead went to the Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Queens, where Jaylynn was pronounced dead.

Plunkett said

“Why would you want to drive from the Bronx to Queens with a sick child in your car?” You could have brought her to the Bronx. Why did you go to Queens for two hours? It doesn’t make sense, ”Plunkett said.

Police say there were no obvious signs of trauma.

The coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and determine whether there has been a crime.

“She was a happy and happy girl. She kept running up and down. Happy and happy, ”said great-grandfather Winston Ramsey.

Police said Anthony Richardson was arrested and charged with wounding a child.

Evans’s family said the hospital told them he might have COVID-19, but that would be part of the autopsy.
