From Orlando, 47, accused of non-violently defying an officer. Johnny Damon, a retired Major League baseball player and native Orlando native, was jailed in central Florida for a number of reasons, including driving under the influence.

According to Orange County prison records, 47-year-old Damon was arrested by Windermere police and charged with DUI. He defied a nonviolent officer around 8:15 am.

Details of Damon’s arrest have not been released.

Damon, a graduate of Doctor Phillips High School, played for several MLB teams, including the Boston Red Sox, and won a world championship in 2004.
