Salem fled the United States shortly after a runner found his daughter’s body at Bloomingdale Park in Prince Bay in October 2019.
The fully clothed body was dragged about 30 feet through the forest and then covered in leaves.
Salem, 52, is a former middleweight professional boxer from Egypt, nicknamed “The Egyptian Magician,” who joined the Wikipedia page in the 1990s through the early 2000s, including the summer of 1992 and 1996.
Salem is known to have killed an opponent, Randie Carver, in the Kansas City ring in September 1999 after repeatedly beating the convict.
Carver never regained consciousness after turning it off in the tenth round and, according to Wikipedia, died two days after a blunt trauma to the head.
The victim, who lived in Rosebank, was the lawyer for Muslim women who were victims of domestic violence through her volunteer work at the Asiyah Women’s Center in New York City, a 20-bed shelter and resource organization.
