A man was arrested east of Albany Tuesday after the Linn County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call. She examined her and found that her 85-year-old mother had been killed
Kris Fiala, 54, was indicted in Linn District Court Wednesday for second-degree murder and aggravated stalking in the death of Astrid Gladys Fiala, The Albany Democrat-Herald reported. Judge Brendan Kane ordered that Fiala be held without bail in the Linn County Jail, as recommended by attorney Richard Wijers.

Defense attorney Kyla Mazhary-Clark requested a $ 50,000 bond. She noted that Fiala had close relations with the community, had not appeared in court, was unemployed and did not receive any benefits.
The 911 call reached the Linn County Expedition at 10:04 pm Tuesday. When the show called again, a man answered and a person could hear the sheriff’s office yelling for help in the background.
In response to the position outside Lebanon, the deputies found Fiala with a knife in her hand. “MPs arrested Kris who coughed up blood in the face of a member of Parliament,” said a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Court documents show that Fiala was previously charged with violent crimes against various members of his family.
A probable affidavit for the murder case was not available immediately after Wednesday’s hearing.
