Los Angeles Police have arrested five suspects including James Jackson, Jaylin White, Lafayette Whaley and two other in connection with the violent abduction of Lady Gaga’s two dogs in February in which her dog walker sustained serious gunshot wounds.

Police believed James Jackson, 18, Jaylin White, 19, and Lafayette Whaley, 27, were involved in the robbery and shooting, according to an LAPD press release. They were arrested for robbery and attempted murder.

Jennifer McBride, 50, who took the dogs to police, was also arrested in the case, police said. According to the press release, McBride and Harold White, 40, the father of Jaylin White, were “named as accomplices after the first crime” and are believed to have aided and abetted in the aftermath of the attempted murder.

Press Release

The press release claims that McBride “responded to the reward email for returning the dogs. He eventually took the dogs to the LAPD Olympic Stadium. Detectives discovered that McBride had a relationship with the father of one. suspects, Harold White. Would have. ”

The statement said: “Detectives do not believe the suspects attacked the victim because of the dog’s owner.” But he adds that “the evidence suggests that the suspects knew the great value of the dog breed and were the motivation behind the theft.”

French Bulldogs are among the most popular dog breeds and, according to dog experts, are easy to fly due to their small size.

No charges have been laid in this case. It was not immediately clear whether any of the suspects had lawyers to speak on their behalf.

Gaga’s dogwalker Ryan Fischer

Gaga’s dogwalker, Ryan Fischer, was walking the singer’s three dogs, Koji, Gustav and Asia, at the time of the February 24 Hollywood heist. He was shot in the chest before the attackers left with Koji and Gustav, leaving Asia behind.

Two days later, the dogs were brought back – allegedly by McBride. At the time, Los Angeles Police Captain Jonathan Tippet told The Associated Press the woman appeared “uninvolved and unrelated to the attack.”

A disturbing video of the TMZ theft showed how Fischer was confronted with two men exiting a car.

You hear one of the men say, “Give it up.” A fight ensues in which Fischer appears to be saying, “Help me,” then a gunshot can be heard, knocking Fischer down. Two of the attackers get back into the car with the two dogs – Gaga Koji and Gustav’s dogs – and the car leaves the scene. While Fischer is on the ground, another of Gaga’s dogs, who has not been kidnapped, comes to his side.

After the attack, Gaga issued a statement calling Fischer a “hero.”

“I still love you, Ryan Fischer. You risked your life to fight for our family, ”she wrote. “You are forever a hero.”

Days after the attack, Fischer wrote a moving Instagram post about the attack, noting that Asia had come to his side.

“As a car sped by and blood flowed from my gunshot wound, an angel trotted on me and lay down next to me,” he wrote. “My panicked cries died down as I watched her, even though the blood that had collected around her tiny body turned out to be mine. I shook Asia the best I could, thanking her for all the amazing adventures she was on. We were together apologizing for not being able to defend her brothers and then I decided that I would always try to save her … and myself. ”

Fischer noted that his lungs collapsed several times after the gunshot, but he was optimistic about his recovery and grateful for the support he had received from many, including Gaga.
