A man was charged with murder after a 29-year-old mother was stabbed to death with her four-month-old baby in her arm.
Kimberley Deakin of Burslem was discovered with stab wounds just before 4:45 p.m. Friday in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

Neighbors said the mother was covered in blood when she fled down the street shouting “help, help” as she carried her daughter around the house after the riots.
They took her to the hospital where they pronounced her dead.
Lewis Crofts, 39, of Broadstone, Dorset, known to the victim according to police, has been charged with murder and jailed.
It will appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Center on November 9.
Today, ward members paid tribute to their “loving” mother when they came to lay the flowers.
A neighbor told Sun Online: “She seemed like an enthusiastic mother who really loved her little girl. You would see her smile and talk to him.
“She was obviously a very loving mother. It is tragic and it must be devastating for your family.
“I think the boy left only a few weeks ago.”

“My thoughts are with the woman’s family.”
A statement from Staffordshire Police said: “A 39-year-old man was charged with murder following the death of a woman in Burslem on Friday 6 November.
Lewis Crofts of Broadstone, Dorset has been arrested and will appear in front of the North Staffordshire Justice Center on Monday morning (November 9).
Official identification of the woman has not yet been made, but she is believed to be Kimberley Deakin, 29, of Burslem. Kimberley and Lewis knew each other.
“Her family is currently supported by specially trained officials and we urge people to respect their privacy.
“An Home Office autopsy revealed that Kimberley’s death was caused by stabbings.”
