A Polk County teacher argued with a group of students after a basketball game and hit two of them in the head, police said.

Liquindella Clark was arrested and charged with child molestation, according to a press release from the Bartow Police Department. She is a math teacher at Bartow Middle School, the district said.

If he returns to work Tuesday, Clark will be given paid administrative leave pending an investigation, he added.

Police said a group of students got into an argument during a Bartow High School basketball game Friday night. Afterwards, the students went to a McDonald’s, where Clark allegedly approached one of the teenagers who had argued with his son.

She “threatened” the teenager “aggressively” and was taken out of the lobby, the department said. When the group of students left the restaurant, Clark got into an argument and slapped one of the teenagers in the face and removed his wig, police said. Another student was hit on the head, they added.

The officers replied and arrested Clark.
