Former Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro died of a heart attack when he was just 28. The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office confirmed the news on Wednesday evening.
“Today, December 16, 2020, at around 3 p.m. MPs were dispatched to 100 Block of Windsor Lane to call someone in need of medical attention,” the office said in a statement.

Medics transported the footballer to a local hospital, where, according to the office, he later died.
A local Fox News partner reported that a family member said the 28-year-old man died of a heart attack.
Taliaferro became a subdivision of the All-American College Football Junior Championship in Coastal Carolina after just two years.
He was then drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2014 in the fourth round.
The running back played three seasons before being released by the team in 2017.
During his tenure with the Ravens, Taliaferro had 339 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
He then played briefly in 2018 for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
