A 10-year-old girl from Florida was taking her first online class from home when her mother Maribel Morales-Rosado was shot in front of her eyes, police said Wednesday.

The mother of the young student, Maribel Morales-Rosado (32), was allegedly murdered in her house in Indiantown on Tuesday morning by angry ex-boyfriend Donald Williams (27) – in an attack that the professor witnessed via Zoom, according to tcpalm.com .
“The teacher said she heard rioting, heard profanity, and realized there was some kind of domestic argument [but] she could still see the child online,” said Martin County Sheriff William Snyder.

Morales-Rosado was taken to the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute at Fort Pierce, where she died.
It was her daughter’s first day of school at Warfield Elementary School.
