Mary Carbone- Arrested
The police arrested Mary Carbone. According to the authorities, the 56-year-old Carbone lived with Stochel and used “several household items” to kill him, including the tape dispenser and the shower bar.
“Mr. Stochel’s injuries corresponded to the implementation of these elements,” said Bradley Billhimer, Ocean County’s attorney, in a statement.
The detectives “searched a lot of forensic evidence” before arresting Carbone, Billhimer said.
