According to one report, the mayor of a Texas city has been arrested for courting a child online.

Pilot Point Mayor Matt McIlravy has been charged with a second-degree felony, according to KTVT-TV.

The mayor, who is also a teacher, was arrested by an undercover operation by Dallas police, the station said.

McIlravy is a married father of two boys who works as a structural engineer and also serves as a leader of men’s prayer meetings, according to his government profile.

He was recently elected mayor of the city of fewer than 4,000 people north of Dallas. No political affiliation was mentioned on his Facebook campaign page.

McIlravy’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Post.
