Milton Brown Biography Milton Brown Wiki
A serial rapist, whose questioning of victims in court forced him to change the law, was convicted of another s*xual assault after his early release from prison.
67-year-old Milton Brown was sentenced to 21 years in prison in 1999 for raping three women, including an ex-girlfriend who committed suicide.
He had fired his legal team during the Old Bailey trial and sparked a public outcry by interviewing two of his victims for five days.
One of them, 38-year-old widow Sandra Summers, who waived her right to anonymity, said she was “again emotionally raped on that stand.”
The law was changed to prevent suspected sex offenders from interviewing their victims. In cases where a defendant does not have a legal team, court-appointed attorneys must do so now.
Brown, a crack addict, was released after 14 years in prison. Yesterday he was convicted of two rapes, assault and attempted rape of a woman for a period of four days last May.
His victim “felt he was going to die” during his ordeal in which Brown administered drugs and alcohol.
Judge Joanna Greenberg QC took Brown into custody prior to sentencing on June 11 when she assessed his “dangerousness”.
Brown of Hackney, north London, has sentenced 92 sentences in four decades for violence, dishonesty and s*xual offenses, including child abuse, the Wood Green Crown Court ruled.
