The body of a missing woman was found on a hike in the Angeles National Forest.

According to Glendale Police Sergeant Christian Hauptmann, the body of Narineh Avakian, 37, was found near the Waterman Trail around 1:30 pm. on Saturday.

Avakian was reported missing by family members on Monday. They said you left the house around noon on Sunday to go for a walk.

Glendale police immediately started looking for her and contacted her hiking groups to distribute leaflets about missing persons.

On Thursday, March 11, officials found her vehicle parked in the Buckhorn daytime area on Angeles Crest Road.

According to the captain, the area where she disappeared was badly affected by the recent snowstorm, making it impossible for her crews to find her.

Authorities finally found her body on Saturday 13 March. The cause of death is unknown.
