A terrifying video shows the moment a gunman pulls his gun out of his pocket and kills a child on a Citi bike up close in Brooklyn, police say.

The clip about Wednesday’s shocking murder, an alleged gang criminal, first shows the suspect, who was on the phone in front of a deli at around 2:20 p.m.

The images released by police on Thursday evening go to victim Pierrot Simeon, 21, who approaches the shop on the corner of Clarkson Avenue and East 53rd Street in East Flatbush on his bike and apparently stops to meet the suspect speak. . The shooter then pulls his weapon out of his pocket and opens fire.

Simeon falls off his bike and the suspect drops the gun and flees, as pictures show.

The video also shows another man leaving the store with a wad of cash when the shooter opens fire. The shooter, wearing a black du-rag, gray t-shirt, gray and white basketball shorts, and Nike sneakers, collides with him before escaping, and then the man returns to the store.

Simeon, who lived around the corner, was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the shooting as gang-related, but it is unknown whether the dead and the killer were known, law enforcement officials told The Post.

A source who has seen other videos inside and out said the couple didn’t interact inside other than to exchange glances. The shooting victim walked out of the store “as if there was nothing to fear,” the source said.

Simeon had walked briefly before the shooter left the store, though the suspect “never takes his eyes off him,” the source said.

The video shows Simeon returning to the deli and the couple exchanging words, the source said.

“So the shooter is looking for a gun and that’s it … all of the interaction, reversal and everything took 30 seconds,” the source said.

In front of Simeon’s house, a makeshift memorial was placed on the sidewalk with photos of the 21-year-old with angel wings and the words “Rest in Power” above his head.

Simeon’s cousin, who refused to reveal his name, told the Post on Friday that he was “very loving” and great with his children.

“He said that when my other one grew smaller, I would be there to take care of him and make sure he wasn’t doing bad things,” she said.

But now he will “unfortunately” not be able to do it, said de Simeon.

The murder takes place amid a wave of gun violence in the Big Apple. According to NYPD statistics, 823 shootings with 961 deaths had been reported this year as of Thursday.

The number of shootings began to surge in the city during the COVID-19 pandemic last year, when 667 incidents were reported with 820 deaths on Thursday, police said.

In 2019, 408 shootings with 474 victims were reported at that time of year.

The past two weeks have also been marked by an unfortunate series of shootings in the Bronx in which three teenagers have been killed.

A neighborhood police officer said the incidents in the Bronx were part of a “major gang war” and police officer Dermot Shea said the violence prevented him from sleeping at night.
