An aspiring basketball star Terrell Wigfall died weeks after being stabbed on Hell’s Kitchen Street in August, police officers said.

Terrell Wigfall, 24, was stabbed in the chest just after 10 p.m. on the corner of 11th Avenue and West 54th Street. On August 22nd, the police announced on Thursday morning.

Friend Marquee Kee-Goldee posted photos of a memorial to Wigfall.

“I met his little princess, his wife and his sister,” he wrote. “His men, his right hands, his brothers, his coaches, and the people whose hearts he touched all came out for him. He put on for everyone.

“It is not normal for this to happen to a child who had a ticket,” he says. “God’s gift was his talent, God’s plan was his spirit, which he gave to all of us.”
