He hasn’t left custody yet, but he should be released soon. There is no official confirmation of his release.
He was accused of violating a law on public order which could be punished with a prison sentence of up to three years.
Zaw was one of nine media workers arrested and held without bail during the February 27 street demonstration in Yangon, the country’s largest city. About 40 journalists have been arrested or charged since the February 1 coup, about half of whom are still behind bars.
