Authorities found the bodies of Benjamin Okigbo and his wife Theresa Okigbo on Friday morning at their home in Sugar Land, Texas, on the outskirts of Houston.
According to the report, police officers said Saturday the case would be treated as a suicide. Investigators believe Benjamin Okigbo fatally strangled Theresa Okigbo and then tried to kill his two 21-year-old sons, also by choking.
However, the two sons survived the attack and although injured, their injuries were not life threatening. The sons were taken to a local hospital by ambulance, according to the television station.
It is believed that Benjamin Okigbo ultimately committed suicide by hanging.

The gruesome scene was revealed after an out-of-house girl was worried and visited the residence. She wasn’t hurt.
According to the report, a 9-1-1 call was made from home at around 10 a.m. on Friday.
When the police arrived, they found the couple’s bodies inside. Both are said to be in their fifties.
A neighbor told KHOU-TV that the couple were from Nigeria but had lived in the residence for about 20 years. The neighbor said she spoke to his wife a few days earlier and nothing appeared to be wrong.
Steven Nelson, who lives down the street, told KPRC-TV that he was surprised by what happened because the area is generally quiet. Nelson told the TV station that he saw Benjamin Okigbo go outside with his dog.
“It’s shocking to all of us because you don’t expect something like this to happen here. It’s always somewhere else,” Nelson told KPRC-TV.
Authorities say the investigation continues.
In a Facebook post on Friday, the rector of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Houston informed the community of the deaths.
