A Baldwin couple are charged after their 1-year-old son died of a drug overdose and an 11-year-old boy living at home tested positive for cocaine, police said.

Child parents interviewed by investigators
Investigators interviewed the child’s parents, Tracy Humphreys, 45, and Thomas Snelsire, 45, and ransacked their home. In the house, they found several stones made from heroin and drug accessories. Some of the medications were within easy reach of the child’s backpack and play set.
According to the police report, investigators found a plastic straw with “an unknown white powder in the straw” in the baby’s pack-n-play.
An autopsy revealed that the child had died from a drug overdose and had fentanyl in his system. Police also examined an 11-year-old boy who lived in the house who tested positive for cocaine.
Humphreys and Snelsire are charged
Humphreys and Snelsire are charged with murder for the child’s death. They also face a number of other charges, including child danger and drug possession. He reported to the police on Thursday.
