Trying to rape, Shocking footage shows the moment when a man apparently tried to rape a woman on a subway platform before being evicted by onlookers, police officers say.

The 25-year-old victim was waiting for a Q train on New York’s Upper East Side at 11 a.m. when the man pushed her to the ground, police said. The attacker allegedly climbed on top of the woman and attempted to rape her, but stopped when a crowd formed.

The video shows the man above the woman who is apparently trying to force himself on her. Then he seems to be exchanging words with someone who is out of sight, gets up from the woman and walks away.

“In the original video, you can hear the woman screaming and the crowd yelling at the suspect to leave her.

The incident occurred at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning on Lexington Avenue and East 63 Street Station when the man approached her, police said.

Cops said the suspect was last seen wearing sunglasses, a black long-sleeved shirt, dark cargo pants, and brown shoes. He’s still at large.

“Hey, let go!” The group yelled at the attacker, police said.

Viewers of the video expressed anger at the person who filmed the alleged attack.

“It got me down on so many levels. The only recording should kick her ass and save her. What’s wrong with the people !!!!” wrote one. Twitter users.

Another added, “Another video of a man attacking a woman while people are filming there. If you need to film it, set up the camera so you can film yourself pedaling. Go see this guy . “
