A former Utah County high school teacher Zachery Kent Denison is charged with having s*x with a 14-year-old student.

Zachery Kent Denison, 28, was arrested on an affidavit for 10 rape, a first degree crime.

A young girl contacted local law enforcement on November 29 to report that she had s*x with a former school teacher and her former basketball coach Denison, who was then at Mt. Nébo Junior High in Payson.

The girl said the relationship lasted almost two years, starting in February 2019 when she was 14 years old. According to the affidavit, they would land in various locations in Utah and Juab County.

In an interview with police, Denison admitted having s*x with the teenager and said they shared nude photos on Instagram, according to affidavit. Denison voluntarily gave his cell phone and laptop to the authorities.

The affidavit said Denison recalled that he and the teenager had “s*x in different places where the victim lived” and “once at the victim’s home”.
